DOUBT NEVER
I trust not the blinking of stars
The sunbeams only as images I feel!
Though I see the moonlight silver
My mind sense doubtful
The nature’s gift I suspect
The flowers, butterflies
And even the song of the cuckoo
I doubt; the fragrance
From gardens, I feel nothing
The silver tides and cobalt ocean
And the sky in blue, I distrust
Days in bright, darkness of night,
I doubt; voyage of time too I disbelieve
Birth, death and life, I question.
Ground and paradise, I refer not
The great designer, I mind never
And even I am doubtful
Over my own soul’s being.
But doubt never; on your love!
And qualm nil I feel
In your marine eyes!
