HEAVENLY SPLENDOUR

Nothing suitable for you to ornament
Though I search the whole cosmos
I seek every nook and cranny
But in vain all
I hunt among the galaxies
To find the best jewel
For my sweet to wear
I have been in enquiry among
The green dales and cobalt sky
For my bellowed to dress in
The apposite and perfect garment.
No suitable bed I can find
For my sweetheart to sleep
Though I search far and wide
Among singing birds and chattering brooks
And even the whistling wind I enquire
To compose the sweetest lullaby
I explore the black night
To draw her eye lines black
But the darkest night is not
Enough black for her oceanic eyes.
Among the flowers I search
Fragrance in variety but
The spring is not enough
For her to perfume!
And I now rejoice in my heart-
Nothing beautiful
In the cosmos is not enough
For your heavenly splendour.
