WAITING
With you came the spring
To my deserted garden
Flowers bloomed thousands to see you
And came butterflies numerous
Not for honey from blossoms
But to mill about you
And birds in chattering
To hear your music
Like a full bloomed sunflower
You persisted in my garden
The perfume spread around
Made envious all
They all watched your shining face
Our dreams and hopes and lust
Made it the seventh heaven
The bright sun above felt envious
Seeing your flaming beauty
The stars grew jealous
But not known if
Seeing the flowers or your splendor
The moonlight lingered here
To snog your stature
The breeze mill around here for ages
To embrace you always
But oh! Suddenly the day came
The day you got vaporized
Like a drab flower you faded away
But still the garden bears
Buds in thousands; waiting to bloom!
And the spring hangs around
Unwilling to go
And my psyche keeps it alive
Only for your return!
